EAPractices for Parelli: An Introduction to Therapeutic Horsemanship
A hands-on weekend designed to introduce those already fluent in "Parelli™ Natural Horsemanship" to Equine Assisted Practices, i.e., the many ways horses can be utilized in therapeutic ways or as an experiential learning adjunct.
We will introduce "the spectrum" of Equine Assisted Practices, including:
- PATH International (formerly NARHA/EFMHA) therapeutic riding & hippotherapy,
- EAGALA-model Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning
- EGEA
- OK Corral
- Epona
- and more!
EAGALA-model Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning will be the focus of the experiential work during this event. We will also examine how the "7 Games" & "Horsenality" impact the work in session.
The basics of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning theory and practice will be discussed.
