Horses & Youth Symposium • June 9th & 10th, 2012 in Marshall, NC
Join Shannon and a host of wonderful presenters for this extraordinary weekend workshop on horses and youth programming! No matter where you are with your practice, this weekend will deepen your understanding of the incredibly rich opportunities for connection and change by pairing horses with youth!
Horse Sense is a leader in youth programming, having served adjudicated youth, families, adolescents, and other at-risk populations in the mountains of Western North Carolina for almost 10 years. We've taken the experience and insight from these years of practice and created products to help guide other professionals through their own journeys with horses & youth programming: Running with Mustangs, a in-depth curriculum on using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy with adjudicated youth, and the Horse Sense Skill Cards, a deck of 50 life skills paired with "horse facts" to help clients and practitioners navigate treatment goals and skill-building.
